By using Wavezard you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

The service

Wavezard is a free web application that records, transcribes and summarizes audio entirely within your browser. There is no account, no payment and no licence. You may use it for personal or commercial purposes.

Recording consent is your responsibility

Laws about recording conversations vary widely between countries, states and provinces. Some require the consent of every participant. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you, and for obtaining any consent required before recording anyone. We provide a tool; how you use it is your decision and your liability.

Provided as-is, with no warranty

Wavezard is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Speech recognition makes mistakes. Speaker identification makes mistakes. Summaries generated by a language model can be wrong or misleading. Do not rely on Wavezard’s output as a record of what was actually said in any situation where accuracy matters — legal, medical, financial or otherwise — without checking it yourself.

Your data, and losing it

Everything is stored in your browser and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot recover anything for you. Clearing your browser data, switching devices, or a browser evicting storage under disk pressure will lose your meetings permanently. Export your data if it matters to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Wavezard or its author be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use Wavezard — whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damage.

It may be discontinued

Wavezard is free and unfunded. It may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time, without notice and without liability. Because everything runs in your browser, a copy you have already loaded will keep working offline for as long as your browser retains it — but do not depend on the site remaining available.

Third-party services

If you configure an API key or a webhook, you are using a third-party service under that provider’s own terms, and any charges they make are between you and them.

Changes

These terms may change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
